POWER Block is scheduled time during the instructional day to meet the individual needs of students to ensure their academic success. This 80-minute block includes opportunities for interventions, remediation, enrichment, and enhancement as well as student choice in when and where to eat lunch on campus. Students have the POWER to choose to Plan, Organize, Work, Eat, or Relax. Each day, students choose to attend tutorials facilitated by their teachers; intramurals and open gym facilitated by coaches and JROTC instructors; clubs and activities led by students and hosted by teachers; quiet study time in the Media Center; and lunch inside the cafeteria, Armory, or classrooms or outside in the courtyard or the picnic tables.
