Roanoke Rapids High School 11th graders Eric Phan and Michael Foster have been nominated to attend this summer's North Carolina Governor's School.  The school is the oldest statewide summer residential program for high school students in the nation. The program is open to only 11th grade students, with the exception for 10th grade students in choral music, dance and instrumental music only, is located on two campuses:  Governor's School West at Salem College in Winston Salem and Governor's School East at Meredith College in Raleigh. It will be held June 16-July 24, 2019. Governor's School helps to build a learning community in which students are encouraged to question and explore, with the purpose of learning and discovering new possibilities that complement their high school instruction.
