About our Program
Welcome to the Clara Hearne Early Childhood Center website! Our building is home to the Pre-Kindergarten program, as well as the local CADA Headstart program and the Place to Play after-school program. Our classrooms are active and engaging. On any given day we may be traveling to a foreign destination, exploring our community, enhancing our vocabulary, expanding our technology skills, and learning how to live in a diverse world surrounded by our friends. We believe that children learn through play and interaction with their environments; therefore, we utilize the Creative Curriculum and Waterford Early Literacy Program. We are a 5 star-rated licensed center with the
N.C. Division of Child Development for daycares and public preschool programs. On our site, you can find information about our program, links to health and safety information, and activities and websites that are age-appropriate for our students.
