We are currently gathering information on all of our Early College applicants for School Year 2019-2020. During the first few weeks of February, all applicants and their parents/guardians will receive a letter that details our review process and requests each applicant and his/her parents/guardians to contact Mrs. Janice Hubble, RRECHS Administrative Assistant, to set up an interview time with our RRECHS Review Team. Please Share: RR Early College High School will hold information sessions regarding the 2019-2020 year for families of current 8th grade students (rising 9th grade students) who are interested in the Early College as an avenue of learning for their children.
On Tuesday, November 20, 2018, 8th grade students will tour RRECHS and listen to RREC Scholars share their first year experiences in this learning environment.
On November 29, 2018, a panel of RRECHS Scholars will be at Chaloner Middle School for its Parent Night from 5:00 -7:00. Our scholars will present all the great things going on at the Early College and applications will be given out.
On December 6, 2018, a tour and a question/answer session will be held at RRECHS from 6:00-7:00. The Scholars panel will be presenting and parents of Early College Scholars will be available to share their first year Early College family experiences. Applications will be given out.
January 11, 2019, is the date that RRECHS applications for School Year 2019-2020 are due back to CMS office, RRECHS office, or the Central Service Office.

Chaloner Middle School has adopted South Brunswick Middle School in Southport (near Wilmington) and will be collecting items to help the students there who lost everything in Hurricane Florence. Toiletries, cleaning supplies, and non-perishable food items are all being collected and will sent to the school for distribution. #StudentsHelpingStudents #KidsAreOurCustomers

Parents: RRGSD Trustees adopted a tentative plan tonight to make up the two days missed last week due to Hurricane Florence.

Thanks to Mrs. Pearson and the Woodmen of the World for the generous donations to our Chaloner Middle School Book Bag Buddies food program. This program is entirely supported by donations and provides snacks to students in need. If you or your organization would like to donate, please contact Chaloner. Parents: Students going into sixth grade will all take Math 6 this year. Students going into seventh grade will all take Math 7 this year. Eighth grade parents received a letter indicating their student would be placed into Math 1 this year if their student scored a Level 5 on the Math 7 EOG test. All other eighth grade students will take Math 8 this year. Lastly, eighth grade parents who wish to request a different math placement need to fill out the administrative request form and turn it in at Chaloner or the Central Office by Friday, August 17. [ALERT] Beginning Feb 26th, RRGSD will require all parents/guardians to present a photo ID upon entering campus. This will provide another level of security to protect our students and staff. #KidsAreOurCustomers

Staff discovered potential social media threats in neighboring counties overnight (2/20) that urged us to use extra caution today. While there were no direct threats to RRGSD, it is always our first priority to take every precaution necessary to provide a safe learning environment for our students. #KidsAreOurCustomers

Parents: Please be aware we have cases of flu, strep throat, and stomach virus in our community.
We are taking every effort to see that your child is healthy while at school. We are wiping down desks throughout the day and doing extra cleaning after hours.
We ask if your child has any of these symptoms, please keep him or her home until all symptoms are gone for 24 hours. If your child has a fever, please keep them home until the fever is gone for 24 hours without fever lowering medication.
If you have any concerns over your child's health, please contact their medical provider.

[RRGSD Make Up Plan] The RRGSD Board has forgiven Jan. 17 & 18. Jan. 19 will be made up on Feb. 23rd which is currently a workday. Feb. 23 will now become a full student day.
