Four RRGSD Trustees received certifications Tuesday night during the joint meeting of the RRGSD School Board and Halifax County Commissioners. The North Carolina School Boards Association Academy for School Boardmanship awards were given to the following trustees for training during the 2016-2017 academy year:
- Valencia W. Davis - Award of Excellence
- Cathy H. Keeter - Certificate of Advanced Achievement
- Michael J. Salanik - Scholars Circle
- Dr. Michael F. Williams - Award of Excellence
