Roanoke Rapids High School is the oldest high school still in use in North Carolina. In 2021 we celebrated 100 years of educational excellence. Our football field, located next to the historic senior building, also remains the oldest still in use.

Students in grades 9-12 who reside within the Roanoke Rapids Graded School District attend the school.

RRHS offers AP and college courses, an award winning band and athletic program and visual arts programs.

Additionally, the district serves more than 600 students at RRHS and over 500 at Chaloner Middle School in various CTE programs like construction, marketing & business, entrepreneurship, EMT, public safety, family and consumer science, drafting, health sciences and advanced studies.
