RRGSD Facility Safety Assessment RFP – Questions and Answers - Updated 1/22/24

Vendor Question

District Response

  1. What is the purpose for such a tight turnaround?

The Board has previously identified March 1, 2024, as the deadline for the selected consultant to develop a security master plan.  The RFP deadlines have been set in order to comply with this March 1 deadline for the report/study.

  1. How does the district expect all RFP objectives to be completed within less than a two week period?

Given the relatively small size of the District, we believe it is feasible to complete the required tasks in Section 7.0 during the established deadlines.

  1. Is the district looking for a single district level master plan or individual building recommendations + a district level master plan?

Per the RFP, if selected, the vendor must provide “a comprehensive security report that, at a minimum, addresses the security risk-based requirements of the schools located within RRGSD.”  Whether part of a master plan or listed separately, the expectation is that the plan will identify which specific sites are impacted by the vendor’s various recommendations.

  1. Section 5 a) on page 4 indicates "hourly rates per labor category assigned to the project" >>>Provided Fee Proposal asks for inclusive pricing and VENDOR doesn't price per hour but rather per project, will the district accept inclusive project pricing over per hour rates?

A vendor may identify a firm fixed price on a per project basis.  Whether priced per hour or per project, the tasks to be completed as part of the project should be clearly identified in the proposal (Section 4.0(5(b)).
