Roanoke Rapids Early College High School Senior Alex Beets was awarded the Ellen Davis Eudy Memorial Scholarship by the Alpha Delta NC Chapter ADK. This scholarship is awarded each year to a student in Halifax County who plans pursue a career in education. Former RRGSD teacher Valerie Henley presented the scholarship check and a basket of gifts Thursday afternoon to Beets on behalf of the late Ellen Davis Eudy who also taught in the Roanoke Rapids Graded School District.
