Judge Freeman Talks with Students

In an effort to expose students to various careers and give them an opportunity to  learn more, RR Early College High School reached out to community professionals for help.   Six local professionals ranging from farmers to lawyers talked with students throughout the month.

November is recognized as Career Development Month.  RRECHS also helped students refine their  resume writing skills, interviewing tips, and explore career interests inventories.

"We wanted our students  acquire a better understanding of how school and jobs/careers relate, develop a realistic definition of work/job/career,  begin to formalize ideas about what pathway they would like to pursue when they graduate from high school, and allow them time to independently research and explore careers of special interest," said Angela Rowe, School Counselor.

The presenter included:

Dr. George German Sr. and Mr. George German from Jerman's Institute of Barbering and Cosmetic Arts
Landen Morris - Morris Farms
Susan Basco- Physical Therapist with Signature Healthcare
Andee Stephenson - NCSECU
