CTE Career & College Promise Program (CCP) at HCC

High School Programs at Halifax Community College

Halifax Community College offers a robust High School Programs pathway that allows qualified high school students to enroll in college-level coursework through Career & College Promise (CCP). Through CCP, students can:

  • Take tuition-free HCC courses (students still pay course fees and materials)

  • Earn dual credit: courses count toward both high school graduation and college credit

  • Choose from college transfer paths or career/technical education pathways across multiple fields

High school students (especially juniors and seniors) are eligible, provided they meet GPA or readiness standards.

Cooperative Innovative High Schools (Early Colleges) operate in connection with Halifax CC as well—such as Roanoke Rapids Early College (RREC)—offering another route for students to earn an associate degree while in high school.
