Roanoke Rapids High School Senior Daniel Acree was awarded the Louise Taylor Britton Memorial Scholarship by the Alpha Delta NC Chapter ADK. This scholarship is awarded each year to a student in Halifax County who plans pursue a career in education.
RRGSD teacher Jenny Shives presented the scholarship check and a basket of gifts Wednesday afternoon to Acree on behalf of the late Louise Taylor Britton who also taught in the Roanoke Rapids Graded School District.
