Dr. Williams, Faloretti, students, Moody, Thompson

The Roanoke Rapids Early College High School Beta Club was recognized at Tuesday night's Roanoke Rapids Board of Trustees meeting. Board Chair Dr. Mike Williams and Superintendent Julie Thompson presented  club advisor, Misty Faloretti, students Hannah Warren and Kaneisha Fleming, and Principal Jance Moody with a certificate for being named National Beta School of Distinction Award.

The Early College earned this recognition by increasing their club’s membership by at least 10% from last year. This honor goes to Beta Clubs striving towards academic achievement, exemplary character, demonstrated leadership, and service to others. This year, only 2,643 Beta Clubs across the country received this award.

In other news, the Board voted to approve the Student Handbooks for each of the campuses as well as the RRGSD Student Code of Conduct.
