In an uplifting show of support, test coordinators across the Roanoke Rapids Graded School District (RRGSD) proudly wore motivational t-shirts during recent state testing sessions. The shirts, adorned with positive messages like “You Got This!”, "Try your hardest, Do your Best, But Always Remember, You Are More Than A Test” and “Let's Do This” were designed to inspire students and create a welcoming and encouraging testing environment.

The initiative aimed to remind students that they are more than a test score and to help ease any anxiety they may feel during the testing season. Coordinators reported that the colorful and cheerful shirts sparked smiles and conversations, making a noticeable impact on student attitudes.

“Our goal is to build student confidence and let them know we believe in their ability to succeed,” said Felicia Few, Executive Director of Career and Technical Education, Accountability, and Testing. “Sometimes, a simple message and a smile can make a big difference.”

This spirited gesture is just one of the many ways RRGSD is committed to supporting student achievement and well-being.
