AMENDED PUBLIC NOTICE OF SPECIALLY CALLED MEETING OF THE ROANOKE RAPIDS GRADED SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The Roanoke Rapids Graded School District Board of Trustees will meet in a specially called meeting on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 beginning at 6:00 p.m. to be held remotely. Board members will participate from the multi-purpose room at Manning Elementary School, 940 Park Avenue, Roanoke Rapids, NC, and by videoconference.
To honor social districting related to the coronavirus pandemic, attendance at the meeting will be strictly limited to board members and presenting staff. The general public may view and/or listen remotely by accessing the Livestream at our YouTube channel, RRGSD Public Information, located at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYHTegFfrwBuo0UJPSkTEiQ
The Board will meet for the purposes of (1) convening a closed session(s) to consult with the Board’s attorney and consider confidential personnel information pursuant to NC General Statute143-318.11(a)(1), (3), (6) and G.S. 115C-321 and return to open session to approve personnel recommendations and (2) to review the current re-entry plan approved by the Board of Trustees and to further discuss potential alternative plans.
The closed session will be held at the beginning of the meeting, and it is anticipated that the Board will return to open session at 6:30 p.m.
