As a licensed child care facility, our staff is working every day to stay abreast of ongoing changes and guidance to make informed decisions about COVID-19 and to minimize the risk of exposure for both staff and children in our care.
Since we have resumed face to face instruction, it is expected for all adults who are on our property to wear a mask. Effective Monday, 11/9/20, all Clara Hearne students will be required to wear a mask on school property. This will allow us to be compliant with Halifax County’s Declaration of a State of Emergency amended on November 3, 2020.
Teachers will work diligently with students on learning “mask etiquette” and provide frequent masks breaks throughout the day. Lessons will be implemented to teach students to reliably wear, remove, and handle masks following CDC guidance.
