The Knights of Columbus Council 9309 of St Peter's Catholic Church, Ebony VA donated four boxes of coats Monday to Belmont Elementary.
According to a spokesperson for the organization, the Knights work tirelessly throughout the year on multiple local charitable programs and projects in support of the surrounding communities; nationally, the Knights annually contribute more than $186,000,000 to charity
The Coats For Kids program distributes over 124,000 jackets across the country each year.
Representing the Knights at the Belmont Elementary coats donation on Monday were Mark Fracassa and Kip Boisot, both of Our Lady of the Lake Council 9309.
"These are much needed especially with the colder temperatures we've been having. I'm so thankful for organizations like this that help you students in need," said Rhonda Dunlow, Belmont Community Outreach Liaison.
