The Roanoke Rapids Graded School District Board of Trustees named Shelley Williams Tuesday night as the new Director of Clara Hearne and EC Pre-K Coordinator. Mrs. Williams is no stranger to the district having worked here for 23 years as a speech-language pathologist, Exceptional Children director, and assistant principal at Chaloner Middle.
Mrs. Williams is a graduate of NC State University in the Northeast Leadership Academy (NELA), where she earned her Master of School Administration degree. She is married to Chris Williams, and they have two sons, Connor and Sawyer. Mrs. Williams will begin her new role July 1, 2022.
