Clara Hearne Pre-K Center

Congratulations to Mrs. Brewer and Mrs. Duhadaway's class for being the Classroom of the Month for January.

Clara Hearne students prepared for a snowy weekend by learning about snow, mittens, hibernation, and even melting snowmen. A letter was shared from the district concerning how our students will participate in Remote Learning. Packets were sent home on Friday with students to complete if RRGSD is closed due to the winter weather.

Clara Hearne will operate on a 2-hour delay on Wednesday, 1/28/26. Students should arrive between 11:00 - 11:15 am. The morning EC classes will not meet. Fagbeyrio's and Parker's classroom will enter at the back of the school through the Place to Place door. Staff will be there to provide directions. Stay safe, and we will welcome you all tomorrow morning.

Congratulations to Ms. Jennifer Neathery for being the Chick-fil-A Teacher of the Month for December. Her dedication and love for our children at Clara Hearne can not be measured. Ms. Neathery shared during her interview on WPTM with Alan Garrett that none of it would be possible without her amazing assistant, Ms. Michelle Ricks.

After reviewing the latest weather forecast this afternoon, and in consideration of the potential for inclement weather in our area tomorrow afternoon, RRGSD will operate on an Early Release schedule tomorrow, Monday, December 8th, 2025. There will be no school for Clara Hearne Pre-K Center and ACES. All after-school activities, including Place to Play, are canceled.
Dismissal times for tomorrow will be as follows:
Chaloner: 11:00 AM
Belmont and Manning: 11:30 AM
RRHS and RRECHS: 12:00 PM
Staff will be dismissed once all students have cleared the campus, and Central Office staff may leave once all buses have returned.
Please stay safe tomorrow afternoon. We will provide updates regarding Tuesday, December 9th, 2025, as more information becomes available. Thank you for your understanding as we work to prioritize the safety of our students, staff, and community.

RRGSD will operate on a 2-hour Delay on December 5, 2025, due to Winter Weather concerns. Clara Hearne will open for students at 11 am. The Morning Half-Day EC class will NOT operate. The Farm Fest Field Trip will be on October 29th. This is a rain-or-shine event. Please dress appropriately for the weather, including shoes. The activity areas are covered, but the walking trail is not.

Congratulations to our Classroom of the Month! Mrs. Amy Parker and Mrs. Betty Martin's class was voted by parents as the Classroom of the Month for September.
