Thanks to Halifax Sheriff Wes Tripp, Chief Deputy Scott Hall, deputies, and the community for giving RRGSD students more than $10,000 in toys today. The toys were donated to the Sheriff's Toy Drive which helps hundreds of needy children each year. Congratulations to Manning 2nd Grade teacher Brooks Ard on being awarded the Roanoke Electric Cooperative Bright Ideas Grant. Her idea of "Bringing Fairy Tales to Life" was chosen for funding. We will be purchasing fairy tale STEM problem-solving kits to use in January and February during our study of fairy tales and folk tales.

Make-Up Days Scheduled: The RRGSD Board of Education set October 21, 2019 as the make-up day for recent closure due to Hurricane Dorian. The board agreed to forgive the second missed day.
