Thanks to Halifax Sheriff Wes Tripp, Chief Deputy Scott Hall, deputies, and the community for giving RRGSD students more than $10,000 in toys today. The toys were donated to the Sheriff's Toy Drive which helps hundreds of needy children each year. This year's event was so successful, children at all nine of Halifax County's elementary schools will benefit. #RRGSDCommunity #KidsAreOurCustomers

Manning Families, please join us for PTA’s “Cookies with Santa” event tomorrow evening, Thursday December 5th, from 5:30-7:00 PM. We will have Christmas story time, cookies and milk, photos with Santa, and much more! The cost is $10 per family; if you pre-paid, your name/tickets will be held at the ticket counter. Congratulations to Manning 2nd Grade teacher Brooks Ard on being awarded the Roanoke Electric Cooperative Bright Ideas Grant. Her idea of "Bringing Fairy Tales to Life" was chosen for funding. We will be purchasing fairy tale STEM problem-solving kits to use in January and February during our study of fairy tales and folk tales.

Attention Manning Parents: Fall fundraiser items will be available for pick-up in the multi-purpose room this Thursday and Friday, November 7th and 8th, from 2:45-4:30 PM. Items will be delivered to students in Place to Play after-school care for them to take home. Thank you for your support of our PTA!

Make-Up Days Scheduled: The RRGSD Board of Education set October 21, 2019 as the make-up day for recent closure due to Hurricane Dorian. The board agreed to forgive the second missed day. The Roanoke Rapids Early College High School will make-up missed time on Friday, October 11, 2019. #KidsAreOurCustomers
