Thanks to First United Methodist Church for creating and organizing the distribution of these hygiene gift bags for our students and their families. Today we launched our new mentorship program at Chaloner Middle School called Bridge Builders. These local professionals have all agreed to mentor some of our students beginning in January. Our 2021 Exceptional Children’s Educator of Excellence for RRGSD, Kristen Keeter was honored today at the state EC Conference by Director Sherry Thomas. Mrs. Keeter is our speech therapist at Manning, RRHS, and ACES. She’s also an essential member of the RRGSD Autism Team and mentor to new EC teachers. #RRGSDProud #TogetherWeSucceed

Calendar Change Alert: On Friday, November 12, RRGSD will have more unfilled teacher and bus driver absences than we can cover with our available pool of substitutes or with creative in-district solutions. Therefore, we are making November 12, 2021 an optional Teacher Work Day. School will be closed for students both November 11th for the Veterans Day Holiday and Friday, November 12, 2021. We hope our students and staff will use this time to refresh themselves prior to testing and the many other end of semester activities that will be ramping up later in November and December. #TogetherWeSucceed
