Belmont Elementary is all about student growth, so we decided to end our week celebrating the students in each grade level that showed the most growth on their recent iReady assessments. Since our student's brains are stuffed with knowledge, we stuffed their bellies with ice cream sundaes and treated them to a stuffed animal of their choice. It pays to work hard! Our students have been reading and learning about the earth, plants, and animals. Students in Ms. Davis and Ms. Woodard's class made a worm compost bin and now have 100 baby worms to feed and take care of each day. This has already proven to be a great hands-on learning lesson. #TogetherWeSucceed
Nearly 200 area nursing home residents will be receiving something special this Valentine's Day thanks to our students. Belmont students have been learning about kindness this week and how they can make a difference in the community. The students wanted to act on what they learned by creating cards and goodie bags for local nursing home residents. We are so proud of them! #TogetherWeSucceed

Belmont’s third graders recently finished a novel set in Japan. After learning about the country’s culture, the students enjoyed trying on a kimono, greeting one another in Japanese, and making Japanese style carp windsocks. #TogetherWeSucceed #LearningFun
