CMS Parents/Students: We're making a slight change to our Live Meet schedule in an effort to make our virtual classes smaller so teachers can interact with students more. Starting Monday, students will only log into LIVE meets with their class instead of the entire team. Teachers will send new invites with the new meet times.
Also, parents of sixth and seventh grade students need to come by the school Monday, August 31 to pick up Reading and Math workbooks. The pick up times are 9-11 and 3-5.
There is no need for eighth grade parents to come as the eighth grade curriculum does not use the workbooks.
Parents: Free and Reduced Lunch Application forms are now online. These applications must be completed yearly for your child. Additionally, if you have recently had a change in employment due to COVID, you may qualify. Learn more here.

Immunization Reminder: Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 7th Grade students are required to have updated immunizations prior to starting school on August 17th even though we are beginning the year virtually. Additionally, rising Seniors are now required to have the meningococcal (Menactra) vaccine. September 15th is the deadline to submit your child’s records to their respective school nurse. This is especially important because when we do return to in-person instruction, they will not be allowed to return without the proper documentation. Appointments may be made with the Halifax County Health Department or your child's pediatrician. #KidsAreOurCustomer #BackToSchool
Chromebook Pick Up is This Thursday! Each family will be asked to remain in their cars, while entering the school from Jullian Allsbrook. Staff will bring all required paperwork to cars for signing and devices will be given. We ask that masks be worn throughout the process, everyone remain in vehicles, and be prepared with an ink pen to sign all agreements. Families are asked to report by the students' last name as follows:
A-G 11am till 1pm
H-O 1pm till 3pm
P-Z 3pm till 5pm
If you are unable to attend during your scheduled time, please drive through on Friday between 9am till 3pm.
Once you arrive home please have your student login to their chromebooks and RRGSD gmail accounts to begin the virtual orientation process. Make sure your student accepts each 20-21 google classroom invitation to prepare them for virtual instruction to begin Monday August 17th. #KidsAreOurCustomers

Calling all area civic, church, and community volunteers with sewing skills...we have a goal of collecting 5,000 masks for use at our schools. If you are willing to donate, please email us. They will need to be individually packaged student-sized masks for all grades. #KidsAreOurCustomers
