Students in Mrs. Rideout's 8th Grade Visual Arts class finished their unit on American artist Wayne Thiebaud. They learned about his life in the United States Air Force working as an artist as well as his popular dessert paintings and how they came into existence. They learned how to draw cakes based on the Element of Art: Form. They put their creativity to the test to create cakes, cupcakes and doughnuts for "Rideout's Bakery". To end the unit Mrs. Rideout treated them with real desserts to enjoy! #RRGSDProud #ArtsInEducation
