What's for lunch? Superintendent Julie Thompson spent time today with 5th graders at Manning during their lunchtime. One of her goals this year is to visit each grade level during lunch to learn more about our students in an effort to make connections and lasting relationships. The lunch is always great and the conversations are even better! #TogetherWeSucceed

Thank you for your continued support and patients as we make adjustments to most effectively and safely accommodate the needs of our campus. With the growing number of families choosing a walk up option for student dismissal, a new traffic flow system is needed for optimal safety and efficiency. Effective today: -K & 1st grade parents will continue to pick up their students at the front of the building, remaining behind the front stoop poles, allowing staff and students adequate space to safely get each student seated and accounted for. -2nd & 3rd grade parents will line up on the sidewalk from the patio area leading back toward the main front door. -4th & 5th grade parents will line up on the sidewalk from the patio area leading back toward the kitchen. The patio area will be temporarily taped off until the new more appealing chain/fencing system is installed to create structured, safe boundaries to help the traffic flow of students being released to their walk up parents and/or to have optimal space needed to access the queue.

Excited seeing the awesome artwork of our Manning Students/Families as those who purchased the stepping stone project kits are starting to turn them in. The landscaping project to beautify the front area of our campus with these will begin very soon. If you haven't yet and would still like to purchase a project kit simply drop by the office or send the labeled $10 fee to your student's teacher. Students will get to visit the office to pick out their project shape. Once the project is complete simply return to school to be added to our collection which will be set properly in our front display for all to see. LOVE showing off our student's work, what better way to spruce up our campus.

Exciting opportunity for Manning families! At meet the teacher open house, Thursday night, we will be selling paint your own stepping stone kits to take home and decorate. Once completed, bring back to Manning to be placed in a Student Stone/Rock Garden in front of the school. We are excited to show off the creative work of our students and families. Each kit will be sold for $10 including: a shaped stone of choice, paint strip, and paintbrush. Once the project is completed return them to school where we will collect them to be officially set into the landscaping more permanently.

Due to unforeseen circumstances outside our control.... the fall fundraiser inflatables were not able to make it to our field day today as scheduled. No Fear.... Field day will still be a blast of fun with all of the amazing events and activities planned by staff and now students will get to enjoy inflatables later in this school year as an added bonus on a different day. It is still a great day to be a Manning Mustang.
